How to change monitor resolution and colors

Personality Creations' web site, as most web sites on the Internet are, is designed for viewing at 800 x 600 pixels screen resolution, so if you have been seeing a lot of sites with the text on top of the border that is what the problem is...your screen resolution setting. To be able to fully enjoy and view the Internet sites as they are meant to be viewed please change your screen resolution to 800 x 600. To do this, with Windows 95 or Windows 98, click on your "My Computer" at the top left hand of your desktop. Now click on "Control Panel", "Display", then click on the "Settings" tab. See right there to the right where it says "Screen Area"? Change that setting to 800 x 600 if it's not already. While you are at it, if your colors are set less than true color, change that too and you will see a world of difference in color! The minimum colors you should use would be 65k (16 bit) True colors. You may have to re-boot your computer....if you are using Windows 98, simply click on the "Advanced" button and select "Apply the new color settings without restarting" then click OK.

Please note! Check the back of your monitor if it is and old one. If it's a VGA, EGA or anything but a Super VGA (SVGA) or older your monitor will not change, and if it does it will be unviewable! Your monitor must be an SVGA and you must have 1 mb or more on your color card to change to a higher resolution or color. If you bought your PC from a store within the last 2 years, chances are your PC is capable of doing this change. If it's a used PC you must check it out first. A new color card for millions of colors is only about $15.00 - $20.00 and well worth the investment.
